Living with Peripheral Neuropathy: 12 Months of Using the Revitive

After writing my first blog post about the Revitive Circulation Booster, (link at the end if you missed it) I thought readers might like an honest update based on a year (and more) of living with Peripheral Neuropathy. It’s been a tough journey, and if you’ve landed here, maybe it has been for you too. I’ve added three updates in total (listed below), written at key intervals to reflect real life progress, slip-ups, and tips that may help.

This updated version first appeared on my original blog at davidcondonwoodcraft.ie. (linked below) and has been split up and rewritten for an easier read.

Foot Neuropathy is an early Warning Signal

For those that don't know yet, Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy often starts in one or both feet and can spread to nerves throughout the body. If left unmanaged, those sensations may become a permanent part of your life. I know this because it’s happened to me, more than once, over the past few years.

When symptoms first appear, don’t wait. Cut out the root causes—sugary foods, carbs, greasy takeaways—and get moving. Sweat as much as you can manage. A Doctor should be high on your list too.

In my experience, foot Neuropathy pain is your body’s early warning system shouting at you that something needs to change, FAST! Peripheral Neuropathy is degenerative, so do what you can to slow it down before it becomes your new normal.

Update: A few Months on

After a few months of using the Revitive, I still feel the benefits, even with the occasional missed day and there seem to be quite a few of those. One 30-minute session a day keeps things in check. My calves, ankles and feet feel stronger when walking around the house and the sensation of each session is like a long walk or a workout which feels good.

Just a heads-up: you really do need to use it daily to get the most out of it. Skip too many days or worse, weeks, and you’ll probably have to start over again. I found that out the hard way.

Please Note: I noticed the Revitive feels weaker on battery mode after 2–3 battery uses without power, so I recommend recharging regularly for full strength effects. A small tip, but it made a real difference for me.

Update: Twelve Months On

I thought people might appreciate a review update 12 months on from purchasing the Revitive. I've had 2 occasions over the last year where the PN pains and aches came back briefly and very strongly. One was worse than the other but both occasions were very unwelcome experiences and they were worse than when I first experienced PN. Why did the PN pains come back?

  • My blood sugar was obviously higher than normal both times over an extended period.
  • I was fatigued and overtired from work for more than a few weeks each time.
  • Diet had slipped a bit or a lot, I'm not sure. Not just for one or two days either.
  • Exercise was missed because I was too busy working and too tired in the evenings.
  • I had not kept up using the Revitive on a regular basis.

To get back on track, I used the Revitive twice a day for a few days, then returned to one daily session once I hit around level 50 again. I cut out the bad foods and made sure to exercise, even just 10 minutes was a help. Within a week, the symptoms eased. If you’ve let your Revitive gather dust, it’s time to bring it back into your routine. Prevention really is better than the cure!

Update: Almost Two Years Later

In August 2025, it will be 2 years since I purchased the Revitive and I am delighted to say that I am still very happy with this unit and it still works as it did on day one without issue. I still get lazy and forget or put off using it but then return to it with a vengeance for a few days in a row to tone up. I wish I could say that I use it everyday but I'm only human.

Unfortunately, my condition has progressed, as Peripheral Neuropathy tends to but I’m now on medication specifically for nerve pain. Once I found the right daily dosage, I’ve been able to live with it quite well and thankfully haven’t needed to increase it. This change was more due to my own diet and lifestyle choices than any failure of the Revitive, which still plays a valuable role in my routine.

The reality is: if you’re making poor food decisions in the background, no circulation booster is going to undo that damage on its own. The Revitive still does its job but it can’t work miracles if you're not helping it along.

Some Other Information That may help You

You are not alone if you are suffering, please read on for some tips.

Doctor Check-In Reminder

I should’ve said this sooner: if you’re getting PN symptoms, see your doctor first - the first day they appear. Don't be a martyr! Get bloods done. Rule out vitamin or mineral issues or other causes. Devices like the Revitive help circulation, but peace of mind is just as important.

Exercise, Walking & Treadmill Use

Walking really helps ease Peripheral Neuropathy, we all know it, but finding the time is hard. I started walking on the treadmill at a 3.0 incline and 5.7km/h - 20 to 40 minutes at a time (I don’t enjoy walking outdoors), and the benefits were clear: fewer PN symptoms, better sleep, and a better mindset.

Even short walks make a difference after meals. A 10-minute walk about 30 minutes after eating works wonders for blood sugar levels. If you're managing both PN and high glucose, this small routine change could have a big impact.

Exercise oxygenates your blood and pushes it out to those starving nerves. It genuinely helps you, both physically and mentally. A treadmill session with music or TV makes it easier. My own preference is a decent set of soundproof headphones and a specific treadmill playlist. I'll link to a decent set below.

If you prefer the outdoors, go for a walk but push your pace a little. Sweating is a positive outcome. Bringing walking back into my routine made a real difference. Hopefully, it does the same for you. I have added a link below to an excellent set of headphones to make exercising more pleasant.

Daily Use Tips for Revitive

Using Revitive on battery mode too many times in a row? I noticed reduced sensation until I recharged it. Try to keep it topped up for best performance and no more than 2 uses on battery before recharging. Try not to hurt your muscles while using the device, you don't need to max out your session to see results.

Slip-Ups Happen

Like anyone, I’ve had setbacks. Work, fatigue, laziness, stress, it all adds up. And when I slack off on diet, exercise, or using the Revitive, the PN symptoms always return. But the good news? Each time, getting back into my routine brings relief again. It’s a cycle I’m trying to break, but I know what works now.

Conclusion - Keep Using it!!!!

Peripheral Neuropathy is a tough condition, and it takes daily effort to manage. I’ve learned the hard way that staying active and consistent with the Revitive makes all the difference. It won’t cure you but it will help you stay ahead of the worst symptoms.

Don’t give up. Keep moving, keep managing, and be kind to yourself.

Feel free to go for a cheaper set if you're on a budget, but if you want real quality, you’ll need to spend a bit more. I’d recommend budgeting at least €80 for a good pair of headphones. I’ve tried cheaper ones, and honestly they just don’t compare.
